In the last 10 days I have visited and played in Auckland, Sydney, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Frankfurt, Cologne, Budapest, Belgrade, Edinburgh, and now Glasgow. I am carrying with me an alto flute, a Japanese Sho, a Clarinet and a Bass Clarinet, an Alto and Sopranino Saxophone, and 120 GB of old movies- 33 kgs in total. I have drunk 32 espressi since leaving Auckland. The royal Jelly Honey in my suitcase leaked leaving my shoes and socks drenched in sweet liquid. Tomorrow I play in Glasgow here with my Scottish Highland Pipes attached to a sophisticated computer program and amplified to frighten the bravest of Scots, I doubt they will remain unscarred. Perhaps the scent of honey from my socks will console them. It will be at least twice as loud as Lou Read´s “Metal Machine Music” I played in Budapest in the weekend. I can´t wait.
